Opera Nightclub in Los Angeles submitted Description
Old school impresario David Judaken--who tempted clubgoers with the Garden of Eden, and much later Mood--has created a sensational new spot on Shrader. Not even remotely recognizable from its barn-like days as Vinyl or club 1650, the redesigned spot has gone very upscale. Lines build in advance of opening and stay firmly entrenched there throughout the night. Those who make it past the rope step through a fabulous Fogscreen, and into myriad of archways and candlelight. DJs spinning the latest thumping dance tracks.
David Judaken's swanky Hollywood nightclub is as elegantly appointed as its velvet rope is tough. When it's not hosting X-games parties with Travis Barker or turning you away at the door, Opera is serving up signature drinks like The Fat Lady Sings and The Phantom to a celeb-heavy crowd. Opera is actually one half of two side-by-side nightspots (the rock n' roll side is club Crimson), though the two areas can be combined into one giant space for private parties for 700 of your closest friends.
